Client Feedback
In Their Own Words
Prapasri Warotham
Bangkok · April 2025
I left my grandfather's automatic with Suriya for a full service. They contacted me mid-way through to ask about a worn jewel before replacing it — which I appreciated. The movement is now running beautifully. The service record they provided was more detailed than I expected.

Sent my dive watch down from Chiang Mai for a seal check. Simple to arrange by email. Three days after it arrived back in the post, I was swimming with it. Good clear communication throughout, realistic timeline, and no surprises on the bill.

Khun Somchai explained everything patiently when I dropped off a vintage piece I'd inherited. I wasn't sure what it needed, and they helped me understand the options without pushing toward the most expensive one. The restoration took six weeks and the result was better than I'd hoped.

I've had three watches serviced here over the past four years. Consistent experience each time — honest assessment, fair pricing, and a service record that I can actually refer back to. One of the only places in Bangkok I'd trust with a movement I care about.
Nattapong Buranasiri
Pattaya · December 2024
Came in for a full service on a hand-wound dress watch that had been sitting unworn for a few years. The turnaround was about three weeks as quoted. When I wound it up on collection day it felt immediately different — smoother, and the power reserve was notably improved. Satisfied.

Bangkok · November 2024
I was nervous about leaving a family heirloom with anyone. Khun Thawatchai walked me through what the collector's restoration would involve before I agreed to anything. The photographs they sent at the midpoint were reassuring. The piece came back looking and running as it should — original character intact.

Three Service Stories
Real examples of the kinds of challenges clients bring to Suriya and how we approach them.
A Diver's Watch After Water Entry
Full Mechanical Service · 3 weeks · Bangkok client
Challenge
A client's 1970s automatic dive watch had experienced water ingress after a worn crown gasket failed during a swimming trip. The movement was running erratically and had visible signs of moisture inside the crystal.
What We Did
After thorough drying and inspection, the movement required a full overhaul — several components showed the beginning of rust. All gaskets were renewed, the movement cleaned, re-oiled, and timed. Water resistance was tested on completion.
Outcome
Movement returned to its original power reserve. Timing accurate to within 8 seconds per day. Client returned six months later for a seal check as preventive care — a routine we now recommend annually for regularly worn sport watches.
A 1960s Dress Watch Restored for Daily Wear
Collector's Restoration · 7 weeks · Chiang Mai client
Challenge
A collector brought in a 1960s Swiss dress watch purchased at auction. The movement hadn't been serviced in decades; the case had deep scratches and an inappropriate replacement crystal fitted at some point. The client wanted to wear it daily.
What We Did
Full movement overhaul. For the case, we discussed options — the client chose selective polishing that retained the watch's aged character while removing the deeper marks. A period-correct mineral crystal was sourced and fitted. All decisions made with the client's approval.
Outcome
A functioning daily wearer that retained its original aesthetic. Timing within 12 seconds per day — reasonable for the caliber's age. Photographic documentation of all stages was provided. The client described it as looking "how it probably looked fifty years ago."
Preventive Seal Service on a New Acquisition
Pressure & Seal Check · 5 days · Bangkok client
Challenge
A client purchased a pre-owned sport watch from a private seller. The watch appeared to be in good condition but had no recent service history, and the client was planning a sailing trip. He wanted confidence in the water resistance before using it in open water.
What We Did
External condition noted; gaskets at all three points inspected. The crown gasket was worn and the case-back gasket had begun to harden. Both renewed, along with the crystal gasket. Pressure testing to the watch's rated depth confirmed water resistance was restored.
Outcome
Service completed in five days. The client took the watch on his sailing trip with confidence. He noted that the written summary we provided — including the test result — was something he'd keep with the watch's documentation going forward.
