Acceptance of Terms
By visiting our website or contacting us to arrange a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
Our services are available to individuals aged 18 and over. By engaging us, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement and that the timepiece you bring for repair is yours to deal with, or that you have authority to act on behalf of its owner.
Service Description
Suriya offers three core services for mechanical timepieces:
- Pressure & Seal Check — gasket inspection and renewal with water-resistance testing.
- Full Mechanical Service — complete movement cleaning, lubrication, and timing adjustment.
- Collector's Restoration — comprehensive overhaul with case finishing and period-appropriate care.
Services are carried out at our workshop in Bangkok. We do not offer a postal or courier-based repair service at this time. All work is subject to prior assessment and confirmation with you before it begins.
Suriya operates during regular workshop hours. We do not offer same-day service; estimated turnaround times are provided as guidance and may vary based on the condition of a piece and parts availability.
Your Responsibilities
When using our website or services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about yourself and your timepiece
- Disclose any known damage, prior repair history, or modifications that may affect the work
- Collect your timepiece within a reasonable time following notification that work is complete
- Not use our website to transmit harmful, misleading, or unlawful content
- Not attempt to interfere with the technical operation of our website
Items left uncollected for more than 90 days after completion notice may, at our discretion, be subject to storage charges or other arrangements, of which you will be notified.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, photography, layout, and design — is the property of Suriya or its licensors and is protected under applicable copyright law.
You may view and print pages from the website for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. Any feedback or suggestions you share with us may be used by Suriya without obligation to you.
Payment Terms
All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Our standard service prices are:
Pressure & Seal Check
฿4,400
Full Mechanical Service
฿9,600
Collector's Restoration
฿14,500
Quoted prices cover standard work as described. Any additional parts or work identified during service will be discussed with you before proceeding, and costs agreed in advance.
Payment is due in full upon collection of the timepiece. We accept cash (Thai Baht) and major bank transfers. Uncollected work for which payment has not been received within the agreed period may be subject to applicable storage terms.
We do not offer refunds on completed work where the service was carried out as agreed. If you have a concern about the quality of work, please contact us within 30 days and we will review it with care.
Service-Specific Terms
Assessment and quotation
Before any service begins, we will examine the timepiece and confirm the scope of work and estimated cost with you. Work proceeds only with your agreement. We may adjust a quotation if, during service, we discover additional issues not visible during initial assessment. You will be contacted before any additional work is undertaken.
Turnaround times
Estimated completion times are provided in good faith: approximately one week for a Pressure & Seal Check, three weeks for a Full Mechanical Service, and five to eight weeks for a Collector's Restoration. These estimates may vary and are not binding commitments. We will keep you informed of progress.
Parts and components
Where replacement parts are required, we will use components appropriate to the watch's make, era, and service type. For vintage or specialist pieces, sourcing authentic parts may extend turnaround time. We will advise you of this in advance.
Collector's Restoration decisions
For restoration work, all decisions regarding case treatment, dial work, and components are made together with you, and documented throughout. We will not alter any aspect of a piece without your knowledge and approval.
Limitation on warranty
We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. If a fault arises from work we have carried out, please return the timepiece within 90 days and we will assess it at no charge. This does not extend to faults caused by accident, misuse, further modifications, or exposure beyond the watch's rated capability after collection.
Disclaimers
Our website and its content are provided for informational purposes and offered in the condition they are in. While we take care to keep information accurate and up to date, we do not represent that the website will be uninterrupted or free from errors.
The information on our website does not constitute professional horological advice tailored to your specific timepiece. We encourage you to contact us directly with questions about a particular watch.
We cannot accept responsibility for the condition of watches showing undisclosed prior damage, modifications, or repair history that could affect the outcome of service work.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under Thai law, Suriya's liability for any claim arising from use of our website or services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of use, loss of enjoyment, or loss of value not directly caused by our actions. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded, such as liability for personal injury caused by negligence.
In the unlikely event of damage to a timepiece while in our care, we will work with you in good faith to find a reasonable resolution. We recommend that watches of significant monetary value are covered by your own insurance during the repair period.
Indemnification
You agree to hold Suriya, its staff and associates harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of our website, or any false or misleading information you have provided to us.
Termination
Either party may end a service engagement before work has commenced, without obligation. If you wish to cancel after work has begun, we will discuss with you what costs have been incurred and agree a reasonable resolution.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone whose conduct is abusive, dishonest, or contrary to the lawful operation of our workshop. Sections covering liability, indemnification, and intellectual property survive any termination of the Agreement.
Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising under them will first be referred to informal discussion between the parties, with the aim of reaching a resolution without formal proceedings.
If a matter cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it may be referred to mediation or, if necessary, to the competent courts of Bangkok, Thailand. Both parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
Thai consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act B.E. 2522 and relevant regulations, applies alongside these Terms where applicable.
General Provisions
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, form the complete agreement between you and Suriya in connection with our website and services.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
No waiver. A failure to enforce any provision of these Terms on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it on another.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to another party. We may transfer ours in connection with a business transfer, with reasonable notice to you.
Notices. Notices from you to us should be sent to [email protected]. Notices from us to you will be sent to the email address you have provided, where applicable.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or services after a revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Where changes are significant, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance — for example, by displaying a notice on our website.
